Sehome is flawless against Bonney Lake, Kentridge

The Sehome girls' tennis team won all 10 of its matches on Saturday, April 27, against Bonney Lake and Kentridge.

The Mariners made quick work of their first opponent, Bonney Lake, only surrendering two points combined in all seven matches.

Sehome coach Bonna Giller was particularly impressed with the play of Lizzie Friesen.

"Her first-serve percentage was really good today, and she had nice, neat ground strokes," Giller said in a phone interview. "She had total control."

Likewise, Sehome made quick work of Kentridge, winning all three matches before the rain stopped play.

Simone Hall won both of her singles matches while surrendering just two points. Natalie Knops also played in two matches, with one being in singles and one in doubles, and she lost zero points in the two wins.

Sehome (13-0, NWC 5-0) travels to Lynden on Monday, April 29, in a Northwest Conference matchup.
