LC boys' track comes in fourth


The Lynden Christian boys' track team came in fourth place in a field of 18 on Saturday, April 27, at the BCS Invitational in Bellevue.

Cody Velthuizen won the 1,600 meter with a time of 4:36.26.

Weston Whitener was the only other winner for LC with a mark of 10-06.00 in the pole vault. Whitener also competed in the second-place 4x100 team while finishing seventh in the 100-meter dash.

Joe Kooiman and Cody Spoelstra finished second in the shot put and discus, respectively, and Connor Blok came in fourth with a time 42.93 in the 400.
