Mount Baker falls to Sedro-Woolley 8-1

The Mount Baker softball team couldn't muster enough offense in a 8-1 loss at Sedro-Woolley on Friday, April 26, at Sedro in a Northwest Conference game.

Aleks Toivola, who picked up the loss, knocked in the Mountaineers' only RBI in the first inning after hitting in Emma Lallas.

"We came out in the first inning and we scored a run, but then we gave up three runs with two outs in the bottom of the first and we couldn't put anything together," Mount Baker coach Ron Lepper said in a phone interview. "It's been a tough week, with three tough opponents, but we have to regroup and get ready for next week."

Mount Baker (3-5 NWC, 6-7) hosts Blaine on Tuesday, April 30, in a NWC matchup.
