The Sehome boys' soccer team overcame a two-goal halftime deficit to defeat Meridian 6-4 on Thursday, April 25, in a Northwest Conference match at Meridian.

Johan Lahud-Zahner and Charles Linneman combined for five of the Mariners' six goals, including two late Linneman goals to seal it.

"Johan had a tremendous game, and Charles put it away for us in the end," Sehome coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview.

The match was one of two halves, as Meridian, led by a three-goal first half performance by Tomas Alvarado, entered the halftime with a 4-2 lead.

"They played harder than we did in the first half," Sylvester said. "In the second half, we came together as a team better than we had, and we decided to leave it all out there."
