Blaine falls 5-0

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 26, 2013

The Blaine boys' soccer team fell 5-0 at home to Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest Conference game Thursday, April 25.

"There were moments of brilliance and moments of things coming apart," Blaine coach Mike Couto said in a phone interview. "Blaine did a great job of having solid pressure in the game but there were just moments when Sedro would get possession and take advantage."

Bud Halldorson had 12 saves in the effort for the Borderites (1-11-0 NWC, 3-13-0).

This was Blaine's final NWC game of the year but the Borderites could earn a postseason bid depending on Friday Harbor's result this week.
