The Squalicum girls' track team topped Meridian in 11 of the 18 events on Thursday, April 25, at Nooksack Valley High School.
Kim Hazlett took home wins in three events for the Storm, including the 100, 400 and 4x100. Brittany Gappa and Gina Flint were the only other multi-event winners for Squalicum. Gappa took home wins in the 800 and 3,200m while Flint won top marks in the shot put and discus.
Meridian had strong performances from Mimi Meggison, Trinell Carpenter and Leyla Marino. Meggison won the 1,600 and 4x400, Carpenter won in the 300 hurdles and 4x200 and Marino won in the 4x200 and long jump.
