Tigers too much for Pioneers softball

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 26, 2013

The Nooksack Valley softball team fell 9-3 in a Northwest Conference match at Burlington-Edison on Thursday, April 25.

"When you have 10 errors that sums it up pretty well," Nooksack Valley coach Tom Harmon said in a phone interview. "When you don't play catch, it doesn't go well. We try to pride ourselves on doing the fundamental things and we didn't do that tonight. We need to go back to the drawing board and do a better job taking care of the ball."

Laura Gelwicks, Alexis Pike, Kayla Struiksma and McKinna Larson each went 1 for 3 for the Pioneers (4-4 NWC, 8-6).

The Pioneers travel to Anacortes for a Northwest Conference game Tuesday, April 30.
