Blaine falls 3-2 in tennis


The Blaine girls' tennis team fell 3-2 at South Whidbey in a non-conference match Thursday, April 25.

"It was tough to lose that first doubles match," Blaine coach John Freal said in a phone interview. "That was the last match and we just didn't come out on top."

Alicia Allison and Shirin Roth-Lerner won 6-1, 6-1 in the second doubles and Mandy Hayes and Emily Roe won 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in the third doubles match for the Borderites (1-3 NWC, 5-7)

Blaine hosts Bellingham for a Northwest Conference match Friday, April 26.
