Lions fall 4-3 to Sedro-Woolley

The Lynden girls' tennis team fell 4-3 at home to Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest Conference match Wednesday, April 24.

"We played a lot better today than we did yesterday," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. "I felt like we were in every match, we just fell short in some of the close ones."

Morgan Otter and Tilly Timmer won the first doubles match for Lynden (0-4 NWC, 1-8) 6-4, 6-3. Katherine Haveman won the second singles match 6-4, 6-2.

"Morgan and Tilly have really improved a lot," Ballard said. "They played the same team that beat them 6-0, 6-0 before. It's one of those years we are up and down."

The Lions travel to Ferndale for a NWC match Thursday, April 25.
