Will McCarter led the Sehome boys' golf team to a win at a Northwest Conference tournament at Lake Padden on Wednesday, April 24.
McCarter shot a 79 to earn the medalist spot and Ben Carroll shot an 80.
"Will was pretty darn good," Sehome coach Stu Gorski said in a phone interview. "He played very steady. We had to pull up Thomas Mankel, a freshman, and he had a great day. This was our lowest score by far and it was remarkable. I need to tip my hat to them. They shot a 412 which was something that I thought they couldn't do. I am very proud of them."
Willy Scholten and Luke Olson shot an 82 to lead Lynden Christian.
Levi Van Den Top shot an 81 to lead Squalicum and Zach Shockley shot an 83 to lead Ferndale.
Kristjan Toivda shot an 83 to lead Mount Baker.
