Red Raiders sweep Anacortes 7-0

The Bellingham girls' tennis team swept Anacortes in its 7-0 win at Anacortes on Wednesday, April 24, in a Northwest Conference game.

"They were all straight set matches but a few close sets," Bellingham coach Steve Chronister said in a phone interview. "I thought Cari Pearsall and Tess Owen were very good and that Mariah Miller was very tough. Everybody did some good things, but those two matches were good from start to finish."

Owen and Pearsall won the second doubles match 6-0, 6-0 and Miller won the fourth singles match 6-0, 6-0 for Bellingham (4-1 NWC, 10-1).
