Martinez, Sehome win 11-0 over Nooksack

Nick Martinez hit a three-run double in the sixth to give the Sehome Mariners an 11-0 win in six innings over Nooksack Valley in a Northwest Conference game Wednesday, April 24.

"I think the story was (Jeff) Machuta," Sehome coach Gary Hatch said in a phone interview. "That was his first start. He's been a relief guy but we gave him a start and he pitched a gem. He was really in control and he did a nice job for us."

Brandon Turnberg and Noah Rawls each went 1 for 3 for the Pioneers (2-7 NWC, 5-11).

Brant Wark, Jacob Manson and Forrest Longanecker each went 2 for 3 for the Mariners (8-2 NWC, 14-4).

Nooksack Valley hosts Burlington-Edison in a NWC game Thursday, April 25, while Sehome travels to Meridian on Friday, April 26.
