THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 24, 2013

Isaac Bogart scored four goals to lead the Lynden boys' soccer team to a 5-0 win at home over Blaine in a Northwest Conference match Tuesday, April 23.

"It was fantastic. We played really well," Lynden coach Drew Smiley said in a phone interview. "Blaine stayed really organized and we played them the same way we do any team. We were just focused today and played well and it was a good showing for us. We have struggled against the 1A teams so it was a big win for us."

Peter Jernberg scored the Lions' (5-1-4 NWC, 6-2-6) other goal and Logan Smith had three assists on the night.

Blaine (1-10-0 NWC, 3-12-0) hosts Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest conference game Thursday, April 25, while Lynden travels to Ferndale.
