Meridian falls 19-2 at Anacortes

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 24, 2013

The Meridian softball team fell 19-2 at Anacortes in a Northwest Conference game Tuesday, April 23.

"It was pretty sloppy," Meridian coach Tony Johnson said in a phone interview. "We're not giving a lot of support for our pitchers and making too many errors. It's tough to give teams extra outs, especially a team the caliber of Anacortes."

Victoria Coe, Juliana Magliano and Bailey Haugen each went 1 for 2 for the Trojans (2-5 NWC, 4-9).

"We have to go back to the drawing board and work harder and do what we can to get better each day," Johnson said.

Meridian travels to Ferndale Friday, April 26, for a Northwest Conference game.
