Tigers too much for Mount Baker in 5-0 loss

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 23, 2013

The Mount Baker softball team was shut out in its 5-0 loss at home to Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference game Monday, April 22.

"We just got dominated by their pitcher today," Mount Baker coach Ron Lepper said in a phone interview of Burlington-Edison's Riley Vanderveen. "We only got one hit and a couple walks but she did a great job keeping us off the bases. I thought we played pretty well defensively. They got hits at the right time and some good pitching and it was bad news for us."

Emma Lallas got the hit for the Mountaineers (3-3 NWC, 6-5).

Mount Baker travels to Lynden for a NWC game Tuesday, April 23.
