Lyncs fall 5-1 at Sedro-Woolley

The Lynden Christian baseball team lost 5-1 at Sedro-Woolley in a Northwest Conference game Monday, April 22.

Grant TeVelde fell to 0-1 with the loss for the Lyncs.

"I thought Grant pitched really well today," Lynden Christian coach Desi Luna said in a phone interview. "His defense let him down. Four of the five were unearned runs and our bats fell asleep. That's a tough combination for the pitcher."

Jake Poag went 1 for 3 and Anthony Anker went 1 for 2 for the Lyncs (2-7 NWC, 7-9)

"Grant really handcuffed them and kept us in the ball game," Luna said. "He threw six innings and had a great outing, we just didn't make the plays defensively."

The Lyncs host Meridian Wednesday, April 24, for a Northwest Conference game.
