Tour Cascadia Mushrooms during May 13 farm walk

BELLINGHAM - People can learn about organic mushroom production from the owner of Cascadia Mushrooms on Monday, May 13.

Alex Winstead, who designed his operation in 2009, will lead the farm walk. The event is 12:30 to 4 p.m. on his farm north of Bellingham.

The event is sponsored by WSU Small Farms Team and Washington Tilth Producers.

Cost is $15 for members of Tilth Producers, students and interns and $25 for non-members. People who pay the day of the event will be charged $5 more.

Space is limited to 40 people. Registration is encouraged.
