The Bellingham girls' golf team scored 312 points in a modified Stableford scoring system Northwest Conference tournament Thursday, April 18, at Avalon Golf Course.
"It was pouring down rain, cold and windy and I thought we had the best match we've had all year," Bellingham coach Brad McKay said in a phone interview. "They really surprised me with how well they came out today. Alex Ferrier scoring 51 points really allowed us to score over 300 which is a mark that very few teams have shot."
Jenn Paul scored 70 points to lead the Red Raiders and Audrey Orem and Brooke Branigan scored 65.
Abbi Rautenberg scored 50 points to lead Meridian and Young Lee scored 52 to lead the Borderites.
Ashlyn Morgan scored 42 to lead Lynden and Ashley Heinzl scored 21 to lead Nooksack Valley.
