The Bellingham boys' soccer team scored two goals in the second half to earn a 2-0 win at Anacortes in a Northwest Conference match Wednesday, April 17.
"It was a scrappy game and it took a while for us to find our rhythm but it was a good game," Bellingham coach Matt Zigulis said in a phone interview. "Our center mids really stood out especially in the second half. Our back four and Auden Schilder held on to the shutout and we were under pressure at times. Anacortes worked hard and did not make it easy for us."
Emile Diffley scored first in the 56th minute off a pass from Conlon Kiffney and Brad Dale scored off a free kick in the 85th minute for the Red Raiders (8-0-1 NWC, 12-0-1).
