Central Washington University's Tayler Fettig took the heptathlon, and Michael Holland from Saint Martin's University won the decathlon at the Western Washington University Multi-Events meet that ended Saturday, April 13, at Civic Stadium.
Fettig garnered 3,999 points in the seven events. She had the best performances in the 100-meter hurdles (15.66 - 756), high jump (5-5 1/4 - 806), shot put (32-0 - 513) and long jump (15-11 1/2).
Kelsie Williams, representing Olympic CC, was second with 3,351 points.
WWU's Emily Stralser had a strong second day, moving up from sixth to third place to finish with 3,191 points. She had the fastest 800 time of 2:47.13
Holland accumulated 5,104 points in the decathlon, having top efforts in nine of the 10 events, including all five Saturday.
The Vikings' Dylan Gordon was second with 4,088 points.
