The Lynden boys' track and field team won five events in a non-conference meet against Mount Vernon and Lake Stevens at Mount Vernon High School on Thursday, April 11.
Elijah Varner and Jalani Phelps each won three events to lead the Lions.
Varner won the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.15 seconds and the 300 hurdles with a time of 41.62. Varner was also part of the winning 4x100 relay with Phelps, Trent Postma and Jordan Sterk that won with a time of 45.35.
Phelps won the 200 with a time of 23.84 and was also part of the 4x400 relay with Sterk, Postma and Bryce Sterk that won with a time of 3:34.07.
Lake Stevens won 12 events and Mount Vernon won zero.
