BELLINGHAM-City Council member Michael Lilliquist will seek a second term representing the 6th Ward.
During his first term, Lilliquist supported steps to reduce pollution of Lake Whatcom, including increases in city utility bills to provide more money for pollution prevention. He also supported stepped-up repair and replacement of public infrastructure, and renewed emphasis on economic development and downtown vitality.
Lilliquist said he serves on the board of several organizations, including the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, Bellingham Whatcom Tourism, and Sustainable Connections, as well as the nonprofit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County.
In announcing his reelection bid Thursday, April 11, Lilliquist touted endorsements from two 40th District Democratic legislators, State Rep. Kris Lytton and State Sen. Kevin Ranker.
