The Blaine girls' tennis team fell 7-0 in a Northwest Conference match at home to Burlington-Edison on Wednesday, April 10.
"I think we played well in spots," Blaine coach John Freal said in a phone interview. "Both first and second singles played some of their best tennis all year even though the scores might not show it. Second doubles did a good job of almost coming back too. There were some bright spots."
Alicia Allison and Shirin Roth-Lerner lost to Alley Calkins and Allison Perry 6-2, 7-5 in the second doubles.
Blaine will travel to Lynden in a Northwest Conference match Friday, April 12.
