BELLINGHAM - A German airline is having its airplane cabins refurbished with products manufactured at a facility in Bellingham.
Condor airlines recently announced it is refurbishing 12 of its planes with the NuLook Interior that's built by Zodiac Airline Cabin Interiors, also known as Heath Tecna. Nine of the planes already have the interiors in place, with the Bellingham facility working on the final three.
The NuLook system includes a new overhead bin system that provides more storage capacity.
Earlier this year, Qantas Airways retrofitted one of its planes with a new stowage overhead bin system from Zodiac called ISIS 737 Interior, increasing capacity for carry-on roller bags by about 49 percent, according to a company news release.
The Bellingham facility is on Woburn Street, in the Barkley District.
