Just as there are physical laws that govern all aspects of our lives, I believe there are spiritual laws that do the same and when we violate those laws, there are dire consequences. Currently, our country is hell bent on doing just that as it continues on with its humanistic and socialist agenda, defying God and his laws. This should not surprise as over the last several decades our society has come to reject the concept of absolute truths and these has been replaced with a morass of relativism in which everyone's "truth" is as valid as the next person's. Fewer people believe that we have absolutes that transcend our society that are immutable and universal. Rather, a majority have come to believe, whether deliberately or by default, that society is the ultimate determiner of what is right and wrong based on the 51 percent that make those decisions. Unfortunately, people forget that just because the ballot box decides an issue, it does not make it right, and sadly, when anyone tries to challenge that form of thinking, they are immediately condemned, marginalized, called intolerant, racist, or whatever the latest term is in vogue. I believe that the truth is that when a democracy is bereft of its moral compass, it sets into motion its own self-destruction and that is what is happening in America and, short of divine intervention, that long dark train will definitely arrive at its destination.
