Lynden's baseball team scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a back-and-forth 14-12 non-conference win against River Ridge Wednesday, April 3, at River Ridge.
Josh Kraght, who went 3 for 5 with two home runs and four RBI, hit his second homer in the seventh to tie the game at 12 after a pair of walks. Zach Vis, who was 3 for 5 with three doubles, hit his final two bagger after Kraght's at-bat, and Matt Meyer, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and five RBI, drove Vis home with a double for the go-ahead run.
"It just seemed like the ball was flying out of the yard today," Lynden coach Cory White said during a phone interview. "We got down a few times but rallied back in the seventh."
The Lions had 19 hits, and all 11 players who had an at-bat recorded a base hit. Hudson Gratton got credit for the win, his first of the season.
Lynden (8-1, 2-1 NWC) plays Inglemoor next at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in Kenmore.
