The 21st season of Bellingham Farmers Market commences at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Depot Market Square, Maple Street and Railroad Avenue, when Mayor Kelli Linville tosses the traditional cabbage to open the market.
The market runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 21, with local produce and crafts, fresh food from regional eateries and live entertainment.
New produce vendors include Bow Hill Blueberries, LUNARia Farm & Gardens, Mount Baker Berry Co., Rancho El Jadal, Skagit Valley Farm, Wishing Well Farm and Wind Poppy Farm & Nursery.
New craft vendors include Sown Designs, Phoenix Heritage Farm, Owl Baby Organics and Forging Designs.
The Wednesday Market runs noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, June 4 through Sept. 25, at the Village Green in Fairhaven.
