Entries are being accepted for the Tahoma Audubon Society’s 14th annual Youth Bird Drawing Contest. The theme for this year’s contest is “Birds of the Puget Loop.”
Open to students in grades 2-7 residing in Pierce County, the contest requires entrants to draw or paint one of three birds in its native habitat. The birds, commonly found around Puget Sound, are the long-tailed duck, Northern harrier and Western meadowlark.
The deadline for entries is May 29. They must be delivered or mailed to Tahoma Audubon, 2917 Morrison Road W., University Place, WA 98466.
