BELLINGHAM - The owner and developer of land east of Walmart proposes 119 homes at James Street and Gooding Avenue. The public can get information and comment at a meeting on Tuesday, April 2, at Spring Creek Bible Church.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the church, at 567 E. Kellogg Road.
The developer Alliance Properties 2000 is planning lots for 119 clustered single-family houses on 29 acres. Clustering would allow a significant amount of open space.
The subdivision is phase 1 of owner Ralph Black's proposed King Mountain project. Black envisioned a mixture of commercial and residential sites on 130 acres he owns between Deemer Road and King Mountain. Last year the City Council rejected Black's urban village proposal for the land, which would have permitted more commercial development. The land is zoned residential.
Alliance Properties is holding the meeting prior to filing permit applications. For more information call 360-733-7515.
