Sehome soccer stymied by Anacortes, lose 4-2

Published: March 23, 2013

Sehome boys' soccer suffered a 4-2 loss to Anacortes on Friday, March 22, in a Northwest Conference match at Anacortes.

Anacortes opened the game with an unassisted goal by Milan Kaffa in the 10th minute. After Sehome's JoJo Lahud-Zahner knotted the score at one, Anacortes scored three unanswered goals to put the match out of reach.

"It was a frustrating game for us; we were a little bit disjointed," Sehome coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview. "It was one of those games where nothing we tried worked out."

Lahud-Zahner scored his second goal in the 76th minute, but it proved too little, too late.

The Mariners (1-2-0 NWC, 3-3-1 overall) host Squalicum on Tuesday, March 26, at Civic Stadium.
