Tanner Olson hit the game winning home run in the top of the ninth to give the Lynden baseball team a 5-4 win at Burlington-Edison Friday, March 22.
"I thought the game went really well," Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. "Our pitchers threw really well today and kept us in the ball game. Our defense played error free and the kids did a great job."
Lynden took a 4-1 leed before giving up a run in the sixth inning and two runs in the seventh inning.
The Lions were led by Josh Kraght, who batted 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI, Olson, who batted 2 for 4 with a home run and an RBI and Cameron Wainwright, who batted 2 for 3.
"It worked out good for us," White said. "We had a few extra innings to get some work done. Tanner Olson started the game and went five solid innings for us."
Lynden travels to Sehome Saturday, March 23, for a non-conference game.
