Last year: Finished fourth in the Northwest Conference (6-3) and finished 8-5 overall in duals. Tied for second at the 2A Northwest District Tournament. Had one doubles entry to state. Finished tied for third at state.

Outlook: With seven underclassmen, the Storm will be young this year. "They're all working hard to improve as quick as they can, but this will be one of those interesting years for us," O'Brien said in a phone interview. DeGolier and Roberts give Squalicum some experience at No. 1 doubles, as Roberts played in the district doubles tournament last year and DeGolier made it to district in singles. Powell also is a senior at No. 1 singles and played in the district tournament. The Dorr twins, who are the younger sisters of former Storm player Danielle, should form an athletic doubles pair this year. "It's been fun to watch them," O'Brien said. "They're so excited to play." Belsher and Randall-Grutter also have been working hard to step up in singles roles, O'Brien said. "We've been competitive every time out, so far, and we hope to continue that," O'Brien said.
