BELLINGHAM - People can learn about solar energy at free workshops from March to May in Bellingham.
They're being organized by Community Energy Solutions, a not-for-profit based on Bainbridge Island.
Workshop dates and locations are:
-- Saturday, March 23, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Bellingham Public Library, 210 Central Ave.
-- Wednesday, April 10, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Bellingham Public Library.
-- Saturday, April 27, 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Fairhaven library branch, 1117 12th St.
-- Tuesday, May 14, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at RE Store, 2309 Meridian St.
Two factory tours of Itek Energy, a Bellingham-based solar panel manufacturer, also are part of Community Energy Solutions' community solar initiative.
