- Mary Kahle and Ian McElfresh were named to the first-semester honor roll at Ferndale High School. Both are seniors and both had a 3.5 to 3.9 gpa.

- Sara De Roy was named to the first-semester honor roll at Sehome High School. A freshman, she had a 4.0 gpa.

- U.S. Air Force Airman Justin Hall graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. A 2011 graduate of Bellingham High School, he is the son of Colbie Cargill of Bellingham.
