BELLINGHAM - The list of nearly 20 Whatcom County farms offering community-supported agriculture shares in 2013 is online at sconnect.org.
With a CSA, a customer buys a membership or subscription for the fresh fruits, vegetables and other offerings of a local farm in advance of the season. The farmer then delivers a share of that harvest each week.
March through May is the prime time to sign up for CSAs, which usually start in June.
The list is compiled by the Community Food Co-op and Sustainable Connections.
