Kyle Mark led the Lynden boys' golf team to a win at Lake Padden Golf Course on Tuesday, March 19, in a non-conference match.
Lynden scored 399, Bellingham scored 400, Anacortes scored 461, Blaine scored 469, Meridian scored 476 and Nooksack Valley scored 577.
Mark's 73 was the best score in the match.
"It went really well and it was exciting and came down to the last group," Bellingham coach David Bobillot said in a phone interview. "Kyle Mark played really well to get a 73 in those conditions. Bellingham was right there within one shot. It was exciting to keep looking at the scoreboard and not know how it would end."
Bellingham's Taylor Paul, Peter Kolodychuk and Daniel Kim each shot 79.
Bobillot said that was lowest score Bellingham has had in the past two seasons.
