M embers of the Thurston County Bar Association are feeling slighted by the appointment of an Alaska man to fill the Family Court Commissioner position vacated by newly elected Superior Court Judge Christine Schaller. These positions have traditionally been filled from within the local pool of attorneys, and there were 40 local applications for this one. It’s a curious break from usual procedure.
