The Ferndale softball team fell 15-5 at home to Sedro-Woolley in a non-conference game Monday, March 18, in five innings.

"It's a starting point and obviously we would have liked to have more hits and kept them off the bases," Ferndale coach Holly Hilton said in a phone interview. "But we will play our way into shape and it will be good in the end. We have a lot of growing to do and I think we can grow this season and I am excited."

The Golden Eagles (0-2) were led by Kadence Kane, who batted 2 for 2 with two RBI, Corrie Wilson, who batted 1 for 2 with an RBI, Scarlett Nyenhuis, who batted 1 for 3, and Jacquelyn Anderson, who batted 1 for 2.
