The Lynden boys' baseball team mustered just enough offense, beating Lynden Christian 3-2 on Monday, March 18, at Lynden High School.

All three runs were scored in the first inning. Josh Kraght, who led off with a walk, was driven in for the first run of the game on a Zach Vis double.Vis later scored on a double by Alexsei Poventud.

"The story of the game was pitching and defense," Lynden coach Cory White said in a phone interview. "We only walked three, and playing error free defense put us in a position to win the game."

Truman Van Dalen, who started the game on the mound for the Lyncs, had a solo home run in the contest.

LC and Lynden both play on Wednesday, March 20, with Lynden traveling to Sehome and LC hosting Nooksack Valley.
