Developer proposes second phase of Chestnut Street apartments in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM - The city's Design Review Board will hold a public meeting on a proposed commercial and residential building at 111 W. Chestnut St., the site of the Towner Press Building.

Dave Hovde of Bellingham and partners Harvey and Judith Flax propose 20 residential units in a three-story building, adjacent to the developers' just-completed Chestnut Flats building.

The meeting will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in City Hall, 210 Lottie St. Comments on the project also may be submitted via email before the meeting at bsmart@cob.org.
