Mariners big sixth inning propels them to an 11-8 win

Published: March 16, 2013

The Sehome softball team was able to come from behind to defeat Sedro-Woolley 11-8 in a non-conference game at home Friday, March 15.

"This game was a lot better than last night's," Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview. "We swang the bats better and I think playing a game right away for us was good. Morgan Henry was really able to get us going with a homerun in the first inning."

Meagan McIntyre earned the win for the Mariners (1-1) and was also able to bat 3 for 4 with a run and a stolen base. Henry batted 2 for 3 and had a run and four RBI on top of the home run.

Sehome will travel to Lynden on Monday, March 18, for a non-conference game.
