The Blaine boys' track team lost 90-54 at home to Burlington-Edison in a non-conference meet Thursday, March 14.
The Borderites were led by James Fakkema, who won the shot put with a mark of 41 feet, 2 inches, and the javelin with 135-9. Eddie Fontes won the 800 meter with a time of 2 minutes 7.05 seconds and the 1,600 with a time of 4:49.
Fontes was also part of the 4x400 meter relay that won with a time of 3:50, with Tracy Booth, Izaya Taylor and Oliver Jackson.
Gordie Kordas won the pole vault with a mark of 12 feet.
Blaine next competes against Meridian and Nooksack Valley on Wednesday, March 20, at Nooksack Valley High School.
