Tanner Tutterow threw a one-hitter and the Meridian baseball team played error-free on a sloppy day as the Trojans beat visiting Concrete 5-0 in a non-conference game in five innings on Thursday, March 14.
"It wasn't the best of days to play baseball, but we found who was willing to battle through and who wasn't," Meridian coach Steve Slesk said in a phone interview.
Tutterow battled as he allowed three walks in addition to the one hit and struck out five. Tucker Bronkema, Jake Plagerman, Jeremy Brockmann and Kyle Linderman all picked up hits for the Trojans (2-0), who next host Blaine on March 22.
