The Lynden Christian boys' baseball team defeated Squalicum 5-4 in five innings Thursday, March 14, at Lynden Christian High School.
The Lyncs, trailing 4-2 in the fifth inning, scored three runs capped by a Daulton Lootens squeeze bunt to pull off the come-from-behind win.
"We played the entire game in the rain, but I thought both teams played pretty well," said Lynden Christian coach Desi Luna in a phone interview. "The kids came out and played well defensively and we got 10 hits."
Jamie Heystek chipped in two hits and an RBI for the Lyncs. Squalicum's Ben Johnson finished 2-for-2 with two doubles.
