The Bellingham boys' soccer team was able to score two goals in a minute to come back and defeat Ferndale 2-1 in a non-conference game Thursday, March 14.
"It was really muddy from the day before and it was going to be who made the first mistake," Ferndale coach Scott Browne said in a phone interview. "Both sides were just kicking long and hoping for a defensive mistake. It wasn't good soccer."
Ferndale (0-2) scored first in the 43rd minute after Nate Fallis was able to put it past the Red Raider keeper. Bellingham (2-0) then scored in the 49th minute and the 50th minute.
Bellingham plays at Sehome on Saturday, March 16, while Ferndale travels to Squalicum, both non-conference games.
