BELLINGHAM - The recent wet weather will delay the opening of the opening of The Woods Coffee café on Lakeway Drive by a day.

The opening is now scheduled for Tuesday morning, March 19.

Ryan Pemberton, a spokesman for The Woods Coffee, said the recent rain has delayed the striping of the parking lot, one of the last steps before the final inspection.

"However, it appears everything should now be set for a Tuesday morning opening," Pemberton said.

The new café is across the street from the Lakeway Fred Meyer retail center and will offer a drive-thru. It's the 14th Woods Coffee café in Whatcom County.
