Lyncs earn 25-0 win over Squalicum

The Lynden Christian softball team defeated Squalicum 25-0 in five innings in a non-conference game Monday, March 11.

Kasey Luna earned the win for the Lyncs and Bridget Kruck finished the game out.

"For a first game we are obviously pleased with that result," Lynden Christian coach Mitch Moorlag said in a phone interview. "We have some things to work on still. As a whole I was glad because our pitchers only allowed two hits and had zero walks."

The Storm was led by Lauren Eckert, who hit 2-3.

Kruck hit 2 for 3 and had two RBI and four runs for the Lyncs. Lauren Huleatt added four runs and had four RBI off of 3 for 4 hitting and Karley DeJager went 2 for 5 with three RBI and three runs for the Lyncs.

Squalicum travels to Meridian on Tuesday, March 12, while Lynden Christian is at home against Mount Baker on Friday, March 15, in non-conference games.
