Recently I attended a concert at the Mount Baker Theatre. I paid $50 for my ticket. While there, three different people in the row ahead of me either had their phones on with resulting light or took a picture with a flash. This greatly impacted my and my fellow theatergoers enjoyment, which we paid dearly for. We found it rude and thoughtless not only to us, but to the performer as well. Come on people, it isn't always just about you.
It seems to me we need to all get on the same page regarding phone and camera use while in a theater or at a show. Can we agree that phones need to be turned off, no exceptions? You go to a show, you turn it off, that's it. If you need to, put your phone on vibrate then take the call in the lobby. If you can't go without a phone for 90 minutes, then maybe you should rethink your decision to go in the first place. We all thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration.
