Last year: Tied for sixth in the NWC (8-5). Won one game in the 2A Northwest District Tournament, but finished the season with a 10-12 record overall.

Outlook: With the transfers of Knutsen from Squalicum and Manson from Southwest Washington, Sehome sports 14 seniors on its roster. "We've got a bunch of guys to work into the lineup," Hatch said. "It's a good thing, in the respect that we've got a lot of experience. I'm really impressed with the leadership this year." The Longaneckers and Goebel certainly will lead the way as captains, and Hatch said he's been impressed with their work ethic. Brice Longanecker should combine with Zavisubin to give the Mariners a formidable 1-2 pitching punch with returning starter Forrest Longanecker receiving and many other options on the mound. Knutsen and Manson should fill in the left side of the infield for Sehome. Wark has shown good ability at the plate and will be solid at second base, though Campbell will likely see time there and in the outfield, as well, as Hatch said, "He's like a cat out there." "I think we'll be pretty well rounded offensively and defensively this year," Hatch said. "I think we'll be a better hitting club this year, just because we're more physical. We're going to need every good athlete we can get, because Lynden's got great experience and Anacortes has a lot of great athletes. It's going to be a very competitive league."
