Three Western Washington University pitchers allowed just three runs and Camille Depew led a 21-hit attack with four safeties as the Vikings swept a doubleheader with Northwest Nazarene University, 4-1 and 6-2, in Great Northwest Athletic Conference softball action Friday at Viking Field on the WWU campus.
WWU, which has won eight of its last 10 games, improved to 11-7 overall and 3-1 in league action.
In the opener, WWU pitcher Jenna DeRosier allowed just three hits in upping her record to 5-2. She walked three and struck out one.
Three of the Vikings' four runs were unearned.
In the nightcap, Depew was 3-for-4, driving in three runs and scoring two. She tallied WWU's first run in the fifth, doubled in two runs in the Vikings' four-run second and singled across another run in the fifth.
Alexie Levin also had a two-run double for WWU in the second.
